Xinqiao Town is located 15 kilometers southwest of Yongcheng City, Henan Province, with a total area of 74 square kilometers and 80000 mu of cultivated land. Yongwo highway runs through the north and south, Yongdeng expressway runs across the East and West, Xinqiao Coal Mine self provided railway has been put into operation, and TuoHui river navigation project has been completed.

Historical evolution

On December 22, 2017, with the approval of the people's Government of Henan Province, it was agreed that Yongcheng city should abolish Xinqiao Township and establish Xinqiao Town, and implement the system of town governing village, with its administrative region and government residence unchanged.

On the morning of March 10, 2018, the 2017 annual summary and commendation meeting of Xinqiao Town was solemnly held in the town conference room. All Township and village cadres and the objects to be commended attended the meeting. The conference read out the decision of the town Party committee and government on commending advanced units and individuals in 2017.

Xinqiao Town has 18 administrative villages and 112 natural villages. The administrative villages include Xinqiao village, wenyoufang village, Caoqiao village, rongzhuang village, ganchengmiao village, Zhulou village, xiaoliuzhuang village, dajiangzhuang village, Zhangzhai village, huzhai village, houlou village, Mazhuang village, qinzhuang village, laosunzhuang village, Jiangzhuang village, hanliuzi village, qianliuying village and hudaokou village.

Economics

Xinqiao Town is rich in underground resources, high-quality anthracite reserves of 95 million tons, annual output of 1.2 million tons, design mining for 56 years, has been put into operation. Xinqiao Town is located in the hinterland of Huang Huai plain, with flat terrain, four distinct seasons and superior agricultural production conditions. It mainly grows wheat and soybeans. At the same time, it also vigorously develops high-quality and efficient agriculture, planting 11000 mu of open-air vegetables, 500 mu of greenhouses, 1500 mu of forest and fruit, and 3000 mu of minor cereals. Three agricultural cooperatives were established by transferring land. More than 120 large livestock breeding households have been developed, with a profit of 190 million yuan. Xinqiao Town has made great progress in attracting investment.
