Chonglong town

Chonglong Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Zizhong County, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province, is located in the heart of southern Sichuan. It is the county seat of Zizhong County, a hilly county. It is 140 km away from Chengdu, the provincial capital, and 190 km away from Chongqing, with an altitude of 332 meters. It is only 30 kilometers away from Neijiang City. Covering an area of 47.9 square kilometers, the town has jurisdiction over 24 villages (214 communities) and 7 community neighborhood committees. There are two general Party branches, 56 party branches and 1949 party members. The total population of the town is 121 thousand, of which 96 thousand and 800 of the permanent residents have registered residence (42 thousand and 900 rural areas, 53 thousand and 900 of urban areas), and the total number of registered residence households is 24 thousand and 200. There are more than 300 organs, enterprises and institutions in the town, which is the political, economic, cultural and business center of Zizhong County.

On December 4, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of some township administrative divisions in Neijiang City (Chuanfu civil affairs No. 11): sujiawan town was canceled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Chonglong Town, and the people's Government of Chonglong town was stationed at 159 Houxi street.

History and culture

Chonglong town has a long history. Chonglong town is a shallow hilly area with beautiful rivers and mountains and fertile land. It has been the seat of Zizhong County or Prefecture since the Han Dynasty. It turns out that the culture is prosperous and there are many celebrities. Luo Chengyi, the number one scholar in the last section of Guangxu, who is also known as "Shuangfeng" in history, Zhao Kui, the number one scholar in the Southern Song Dynasty, Yu Peilun, one of the 72 martyrs of Huanghuagang, Cao Didi, Fan Changjiang, and other outstanding communist fighters all studied in Chonglong Town, which is called "the land of many scholars".

There are Confucian temple, Wu Temple, Dongyu temple, Qing Dynasty street and Dadongmen ancient city building in the urban area, and chonglongshan Park, a provincial scenic spot in the north of the city. Ancient streets, temples, temples and dwellings have made countless literati forget to return. Chonglong town has become the only provincial historical and cultural city along the Chengdu Chongqing line in Sichuan Province.

Traffic conditions

It is close to Chengdu Chongqing railway, Chengdu Chongqing Expressway, old Chengdu Chongqing highway and other important national traffic arteries. Tuojiang River, Ziwei highway and Zian highway pass through the town. Expressway import and export, Chengdu Chongqing railway station, international second class bus station and other transportation facilities are built in neighboring areas. Roads and village level roads crisscross the town and surrounding towns, extending in all directions, and have realized village to village and community roads.

Because Chonglong town is the seat of the county, its infrastructure construction has been in the priority position for a long time. With a water supply capacity of 50000 yuan per day and two 220 KVA power stations supplied by the State Grid, the postal communication industry has reached the advanced level in China, all the streets in the towns have been hardened, more than 90% of the old city reconstruction has been completed, and the large-scale natural gas transmission and distribution network has been realized. The town has all kinds of supporting service institutions and reasonable public facilities.

In 2005, the gross domestic product (GDP) reached 700.33 million yuan, an increase of 18.01% over the previous year. Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 5.7 million yuan, an increase of 6.63%; the added value of the secondary industry was 161.5 million yuan, an increase of 15.24%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 48.179 million yuan, an increase of 20.5%. The general budget revenue is 215000 yuan, the per capita net income of farmers is 2849 yuan, and the family planning rate reaches 91.05%.
