Jiangshi township is also called jiangshiya. In May 1951, Jiangshi township was newly established. It was named after jiangshiya, belonging to the first district (Chengguan). In September 1958, Jiangshi township was changed into Jiangshi people's commune. In September 1963, it returned to Chengguan District Office. On November 17, 1966, with the approval of the people's Committee of Sichuan Province and the administrative office of Mianyang special region, the district office and commune named after the place name were changed to a new name with "revolutionary significance", and Jiang Shi was renamed "fighting", which was restored the next year.
