Qingniu town

Qingniu township is located in the south of Yuanba District, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. It borders Hutiao town in the East, Heling town in Jiange County in the south, Trojan town in Jiange County in the West and Chenjiang Township in the north. It covers an area of 340.32 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 6 villages and 36 villager groups with a total population of 5246 (2017). Han nationality, the township government is located in the first group of Bainiu village, 53 kilometers away from Yuanba district. It is named after qingniu temple. Weizi district. In 1989, it belonged to Yuanba district. In 1992, the township was withdrawn and returned to Hutiao town. In 1995, qingniu township was restored.

In December 2019, Guangyuan Municipal People's government decided to abolish qingniu township.
