Shuidao Town, belonging to Meihekou City, Tonghua City, Jilin Province, is located in the southwest of Meihekou City, bordering Hongmei town in the East, Liuhe Town and Ankou town in Liuhe County in the southeast, Jile Township in the southwest and Shancheng town in the north. It is 45.5 km away from Meihekou City, with a total area of 86.16 square kilometers.

In 1878, Shuidao town belonged to Haisheng and Haihe communities of Hailong Fumin hall. In September 1992, Shuidao town was replaced by Shuidao town. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in the town was 10961. As of June 2020, Shuidao town has 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the town people's government is stationed in Shuidao village.

In 1913, it belonged to dahuangtou village. In 1947, it belonged to Zhonghe district.

In 1983, Shuidao commune was changed into Shuidao township.
