Qianqin farm

Qianqin farm is located in qianqin village, Dongqiao Town, Putian. It was founded in May 1958. Six cadres and 28 employees were transferred by the county Party committee to reclaim 1900 mu of land.

In 1964, designed and invested by the Provincial Department of agriculture, it reclaimed beaches and leveled farmland. The area was expanded to 7027 mu, with 30 cadres and 450 employees. It has five branches and a nursery base, including qianqin, Dongcai, Dongqiao, Xutang and Shuitou.

In 1969, Dongqiao, Xutang and Shuitou were transferred to the people's commune, and qianqin and Dongcai were given part of the land to the production brigade and Putian salt farm. From 1970 to 1971, qianqin farm was incorporated into Putian salt farm as a work area. In 1972, it was separated from Putian salt farm and established qianqin farm in Putian County.

In 1991, qianqin farm was divided into three sub farms: qianqin, Dongcai and Jiangdi, with 12 cadres and 329 employees, with a total land area of 5348 mu. Among them, 1048 mu of arable land, 384 mu of surface aquaculture, 1000 mu of shelterbelt and 6517 mu of Yankan. In 1983, he also established a grain, oil and feed processing plant. There are 2431 square meters of dormitories, 4300 square meters of warehouses, 1946 square meters of poultry and livestock houses, and 32 family farms.
