Yuejin town is a township under the jurisdiction of Santai County.

On December 25, 2019, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Yuejin town and Shangxin Township were approved to be abolished, and their administrative areas were put under the jurisdiction of Xiping town.

Evolution of organizational system

At the end of Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of xingri township (Guanyinchang, now Xiping town), Guanyin Lianbao in 1935 and Guanyin Township in 29. At the beginning of 1950, it still belonged to Guanyin Township. In May 1951, when the administrative division of the whole county was greatly adjusted, Jingui township was set up by Guanyin Township. In March 1956, Jingui township was abolished and restored in the same year. The golden turtle people's commune was established on October 1, 1958. In 1959, the people's Government of Jingui Township moved from Jingui temple to the town at the foot of the mountain. In 1967, it was renamed Yuejin commune, which means "grasping the revolution and making production leap forward". In March 1984, it was changed into Yuejin township. In September 1992, Kaihe Township, Yuejin Township and Shangxin Township were merged to build Kaihe Town, which has three offices: Kaihe, Yuejin and Shangxin. In March 2000, Shangxin office set up Shangxin township. Kaihe town has two offices, Kaihe and Yuejin. In January 2018, Kaihe town was abolished, the original Kaihe town was transferred to Xiping Town, and Yuejin town was established. on December 25, 2019, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, it is agreed to cancel Yuejin town and Shangxin Township and put their administrative areas under the jurisdiction of Xiping Town, which is located at No. 45, Guangdong street.

The administrative areas of fanshuiyan village, laolongguan village, mafanglou village, gaoqiaosi village, majiaguan village, chuanzumiao village, yuantanzi village, wangchanggou village and yuejinchang town (the original Yuejin township) in the original Kaihe town were under the jurisdiction of Yuejin town The residence is at 33 Jinma street. Eight villages, including lijiazui village and one town neighborhood committee (formerly Kaihe township) were put under the jurisdiction of Xiping town.
