Xinjia Township

Xinjia township is located in the north of Jingxi City, 25 kilometers away from the county. The route of provincial highway S320 and S210 passes through the territory, reaching Jingxi County in the south, Napo and Funing in the west, guole and Dajia in the north.

In June 2005, Xinwei Township and Dajia Township were merged into Xinjia township. The Township People's Government stationed in Dajia street and set up Xinwei management area at No. 10 Xinrong street.

With a total area of 186 square kilometers, the township governs 19 administrative villages (streets), 158 natural villages, 374 villager groups, 10993 households and 46662 people.

geographical environment

Xinjia township is located in Shishan area, with 2781.7 hectares of arable land and 6339 hectares of forest. Most of them are karst peak forest and peak cluster Valley, the middle part is relatively open and flat, others are mountainous or hilly. The soil is red sandy yellow red soil. Most of them are mixed forest of stone mountain, mainly of Chinese fir, pine and Eucalyptus. The highest mountain is shanzheshan in Duojia village, 1165 meters above sea level, which is the highest point of the whole township. the climate belongs to subtropical monsoon plateau climate. There is no severe heat in summer and cold in winter. The four seasons are like spring. The annual average temperature is 18.3 ℃, and the light is sufficient. The annual frost free period is about 360 days. The annual rainfall is 1200 mm, and 70% of the annual rainfall is concentrated between May and August. there is a surface river in the township. Its source is Pangling village, so it is called Pangling river. It is 8 km long in the township and flows through 3 villages to Vietnam. The rest of the villages (streets) rely on a small number of seasonal streams. There is a great shortage of water resources in the dry season. Drinking water for people and livestock and water conservancy irrigation are all solved by lifting water and collecting rain with water tanks.

In addition, there are abundant mineral resources, with good ore quality and easy mining. Agricultural industry mainly includes tobacco, rice, corn, sugarcane, silkworm breeding, fruit planting, etc. The total cultivated land area of the township is 2781.7 hectares, and the forest area is 6339 hectares.
