Shuanglong town

Shuanglong town is located in the northeast of Zizhong, 17km away from Zizhong County (Shuinan town), because Shuanglong Bridge is named here. It was built in the late Ming Dynasty. Home in 1935. After the merger, Shuanglong district was established in 1955 and Shuanglong town was established in 1992. Shuanglong town manages 1 communities and 28 administrative villages, with an area of 63.25k, registered residence population of 51772 (2058 urban population) and Han nationality. The highest altitude is 450 m and the lowest is 320 M. Mengxi river has two cascade hydropower stations. There are two reservoirs, tumuqiao and jiangjiawan, with water storage of nearly 3 million cubic meters and convenient irrigation. The climate is warm and humid, with an average annual temperature of 17.3 ℃, a maximum of 39.9 ℃, a minimum of - 3 ℃, and an average annual rainfall of 1000mm. Agriculture is rich in rice, wheat, corn, sweet potato, sugarcane, jute, peanut, rapeseed and so on, and livestock and poultry are mainly pigs.

On December 4, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of some township administrative divisions in Neijiang City (No. 11 of Chuanfu civil administration): Liuma town was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Shuanglong Town, and the people's Government of Shuanglong town was stationed at 112 old street.
