Lihu Town, belonging to Puning City, Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northwest of Puning City, adjacent to Rongjiang River, at the junction of Rongjiang plain and Nanyang Mountain area. The total area of the town is 84.9 square kilometers. In late 2018, the registered residence of Li Hu town was 120071. As of June 2020, Lihu town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 23 administrative villages.

Lihu town is a tea distribution center in eastern Guangdong, known as the "hometown of hot springs", with more than 40000 overseas Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. It is the gateway to the west of Puning and one of the three central towns of Puning.

In 2018, the budget revenue of Lihu town was 12.08 million yuan, accounting for 118% of the budget of 10.286 million yuan at the beginning of the year. The revenue of Finance and taxation was over fulfilled, including 4.44 million yuan of lump sum target allocation revenue, 27.38 million yuan of superior subsidy revenue, 470000 yuan of last year's surplus revenue, and 44.37 million yuan of total budget revenue, an increase of 11.26 million yuan over the previous year.

Historical evolution

In 1957, Lihu town was established.

In 1958, it was changed into Lihu commune.

In 1962, Shipai commune was built in Lihu.

In 1983, the commune was removed and changed into Lihu district and Shipai district.

In 1986, Lihu town and Shipai town were replaced.

Puning Yingge dance
