Ruoyang Township
Ruoyang township is located in the southern mountainous area of Wucheng District, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. It borders Wuyi County in the southeast, Shafan Township in the West and andI town in the north. The township covers an area of 62.8 square kilometers and governs 14 administrative villages with 1464 people (2017). Ruoyang township was formed in 1957 by merging the former "yingtoupian" of Xuanping county and "ruoyang township" of Yunyan township of Jinhua County. It is 50 kilometers away from Jinhua City. Due to its high and steep terrain, it is known as "Jiangnan Jiuzhaigou, Zhejiang small Tibet".
According to relevant records, people have lived here since the Northern Song Dynasty, with a long history.

The average altitude of the township is between 600 and 1100 meters, of which zhupengjian is 1271 meters above sea level, the highest peak in the territory. The township is dominated by woodland, with a total area of 88000 mu of mountain forest and 1899 mu of arable land (including 1666 mu of paddy field). The territory is rich in bamboo, pine, fir and other timber forests and tea, Camellia oleifera and other economic forests. The township industry is dominated by bamboo and wood processing, tea production, processing, planting and breeding. The main income of farmers in the township is tea, tea cattle breeding and alpine vegetables. During the Anti Japanese War, general Su Yu led the workers' and peasants' Red Army to carry out revolutionary struggle in the territory. Now there are still ruins, which are old revolutionary areas in China. Ruoyang people's customs are simple and the environment is beautiful. In midsummer, the temperature in ruoyang is 5 ℃ - 10 ℃ lower than that in the urban area, which is a good summer resort. the construction of small towns in 2017 will bring a new look to ruoyang township. Ruoyang's characteristic agricultural industries are mainly concentrated in mushroom cultivation, tea, vegetable cattle, bamboo and wood. the existing 4000 mu tea garden in the township has passed the pollution-free food standard certification and 850 mu tea garden has passed the organic food quality demonstration. there are nearly 20 mushroom growers in the township, with an annual output value of more than 3 million yuan, which has greatly stimulated the local economy. Ruoyang township has been certified as a pollution-free animal product base by the Provincial Department of agriculture. The planting area of Alpine vegetables in ruoyang township is 800 mu, and the varieties are more diversified. most of the young and middle-aged people in the township go out to work.
