Hongfeng farm

Hongfeng farm in Guangdong Province is a state-owned enterprise under the General Administration of agriculture and reclamation of Guangdong Province. It is located in Huazhou City in western Guangdong Province, adjacent to Zhanjiang, Maoming and other major cities, 20 km away from Zhanjiang Guangzhou expressway, and 95 km away from Zhanjiang port and civil airport. The site is located in the center of Guanqiao Town, and the provincial highway Meishi line runs through it. The geographical position is superior, and the transportation by sea, land and air is very convenient.

Operation status

The farm is mainly planted with natural rubber and South Asian fruits, and also engaged in animal husbandry. It is the main production base of natural rubber and breeding base of ten thousand high-quality lean meat pigs in Guangdong reclamation area. The management system of household contract responsibility system and two-level management of field and team is implemented for natural rubber. There are 21 agricultural production teams, building materials factories, animal husbandry companies, hospitals, middle schools, primary schools, kindergartens and other secondary units.

It has a total population of 3966 (in 2010), 856 employees and 1345 retirees; a land area of 44800 mu, 27300 mu of rubber planting area and 8000 mu of fruit; 730000 rubber trees, with an annual output of nearly 2000 tons of dry rubber; more than 10000 lean meat fattening pigs, more than 100 tons of litchi and 120 tons of longan. The products sell well all over the country.

In July 2020, it was identified by the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas as the first batch of farms in China.
