Qishui town is located on the west coast of Leizhou City, covering an area of 106.01 square kilometers (2017). It has 21 administrative areas and 47 natural villages with a population of 50726 (in 2017), of which fishermen account for more than 50% of the total population. The town is located in qishuigang, 54 kilometers away from Leicheng. Qishui port is one of the 17 first-class fishing ports in Guangdong Province. The construction of Qishui port has been listed as the eighth five year plan of Guangdong Province.

The reserve of quartz sand in Qishui town is very rich. According to the survey of experts, the reserve is more than 200 million tons, and the silicon content is more than 98.7%. It is one of the eight national mineral reserves and one of the best quality quartz sand in Southeast Asia, with high mining value. There are four sand washing plants, and high quality quartz sand raw materials are continuously sold to other places. Chidouliao Island, opposite the port area of Qishui Town, has an area of 1100 mu. Yinsha green water is unique and has high tourism development value. Every year, it attracts many distant guests to visit and plan to build "chidouliao Island - Sea Paradise".

folk culture

Qishui town has profound folk culture. Every year, a large-scale Folk Tour is held in the harbor area around the Lantern Festival and March 22. Guests from all over the town come in droves. Some famous TV stations such as Hong Kong have come to collect the local culture. With superb lion dance skills, it has won the gold medal of Zhanjiang lion dance Invitation Competition, and gangbu has been rated as the characteristic cultural village of Zhanjiang City.
