Qianjiadong Yao Nationality Village

The Yao family township of Qian Jia Tong, the township of Jiangyong County in Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, is located in the northwest of Jiangyong County. The Township People's government is situated 9.5 kilometers away from the county town hall of Xiao County, with an area of 159.80 square kilometers, and a registered residence population of 23370 people (2018). It has 1 communities and 11 administrative villages (2019).

Qianjiadong Yao nationality township is the birthplace of Yao nationality. The main scenic spots include Panwang square, daboshui waterfall, Longtan waterfall, xiaoguyuan rafting, Liujiazhuang new countryside, folk performing hall, etc.

Historical evolution

Qianjiadong Yao nationality township is named after the birthplace of Yao nationality and famous scenic spot.

Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was Youjiang township.

In the early days of the people's Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Xiaopu district.

In 1956, Dayuan township was established.

In 1958, it was subordinate to Xiaojiang people's commune.

In 1961, it was divided into pan Jiayuan commune and Dayuan commune.

In 1966, the district was withdrawn and merged into the Dayuan people's commune.

In 1984, it was withdrawn and restored to Dayuan township.

In 1987, it was renamed Qianjiadong Yao township. Qianjiadong Yao Nationality Village

Hunan Qianjiadong National Forest Park

Hunan Qianjiadong National Forest Park is mainly based on natural scenery, which is mainly divided into four scenic spots: xiaoguyuan scenic spot, guzhaihu scenic spot, tianmenling scenic spot and Panwang square of Yao nationality.

Located in Panwang square of Qianjiadong, the statue of Panwang is 21 meters high, which is equivalent to the height of seven stories. It is tall and dignified with both spirit and shape. It is the largest statue of Panwang in the world.

Qianjiadong daboshui Waterfall Scenic Spot

Qianjiadong daboshui Waterfall Scenic Spot is located in Liujiazhuang village, Qianjiadong Yao Township, 11 kilometers north of Jiangyong County. It was not only named as a provincial scenic spot in 1998, but also a holy land for Yao people to seek their roots and visit their ancestors all over the world. In 2015, Qianjiadong won the title of National Water Conservancy Scenic Spot and "the most beautiful village with ethnic characteristics in Hunan Province". In 2014, Liujiazhuang village was named and listed as one of the first batch of "villages with Chinese minority characteristics" by the State Commission for democracy and people's livelihood.
