Historical evolution

In 1949, it was attached to urban and rural areas, with five villages including Deshengmen, Nanjin, Bianhe, Wuli and fengshu. In 1951, it was under the jurisdiction of Chengguan Town, Yueyang County. In 1958, it was renamed Wuli branch of Yuezhou commune, which has jurisdiction over nine brigades, including Yuecheng, fengshu, Deshengmen and Nanjin. Wuli commune was established in 1962 and renamed suburban commune in 1975. In 1984, it was changed into Wuli township. In 1996, with an area of 14 square kilometers and a population of 19000, the township government was stationed in fangjialong, with jurisdiction over six administrative villages (Dadian) including Nanjin, Desheng, Jinji, tielu, Yuecheng and Chengjiao. In 1997, it has a total area of about 25 square kilometers, 5647 households and 19207 people. It has jurisdiction over six administrative villages, including Yuecheng, Chengjiao, tieluchong, jineshan, Nanjin and Deshengmen, and 42 villager groups. The township government is located in Wulipai Road (Yueyang Yearbook). on July 18, 2001, fengqiaohu community (Yueyanglou street at that time) was established. In 2002, Wuli township was abolished and xinlukou street was established, with jurisdiction over five neighborhood committees. In August 2007, xinlukou street was renamed fengqiaohu street.
