Xianghe town is located in the hills of eastern Anhui Province, on the Bank of Xianghe river. It was established in 1949, with a total area of 123.45 square kilometers. Xianghe Town, founded in 1949, is the seat of Quanjiao county government and the political, economic and cultural center of the county. In 1991, the town was merged. In July 1997, the offices of Chengdong and Nanping were set up. The township government was transferred from Xianghe town. In December 2001, the original Babo, Chengdong, Nanping and Xianghe towns were merged into Xianghe town again. The administrative division and population have evolved, gradually forming today's pattern. The town covers an area of 123.45 square kilometers, with an agricultural cultivated area of 54000 mu, governing 13 residents, 18 villages and 238 villages Four villager groups, nine primary and secondary schools and four hospitals.

In the south of the city, there is Nanping mountain, with luxuriant forests and bamboo trees. It is a good summer resort. In the north of the city, there was the Arctic Pavilion in ancient times, and the Wu Jingzi memorial hall was built in the north. In the city, there is "Guoguang building" (formerly known as "Zunjing Pavilion") which was built in the Longqing period of Ming Dynasty and is now a key cultural relic of the province. There are six ancient bridges on the old Xianghe River, named Baiwang, Baolin, Jiyu, Yongjin, Tuoban and Taiping. The banks of Xinxiang River are lined with weeping willows, shady trees and blue sky. A new Taiping Bridge is built on the river. On the 16th of the first month of every year, people from four townships and eight Li will come and walk on the bridge, setting off fireworks and firecrackers, burning incense and praying for a peaceful year, which is called "taking peace".

Quanjiao middle school, located beside guanglou in Zhonghua Town, is now a provincial key middle school. Its predecessor was Wangyang Academy in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty, and it was renamed Xiangshui Academy in the middle of Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. It has provided a large number of excellent talents for the country. The basic cultural facilities in the town are relatively complete, and people's spare time life is rich and colorful.
