It is located in the north of Wugang City, 15 kilometers away from the urban area, covering an area of 139.41 square kilometers (2017), with a population of about 72458 people (2017). It borders on Dongkou and Suining County. The provincial highway Zhushi to Chengbu Xinning runs through the whole area. It is a "melon" on the first vine of provincial highway 1846, with convenient transportation, unique geographical advantages and superior geographical environment. The town government is located in wantouqiao, which has jurisdiction over 48 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee and 9 Township departments. The whole town has 58000 mu of paddy field, 54000 mu of dry and waterlogged land, and 18000 mu of dry soil. It is known as Wugang granary. In the town, there are one 35kV substation, three wireless transmitting stations and two post and telecommunication switching stations, and more than 30% of the farmers have installed telephones.
