Chengjiao township is under the jurisdiction of Qinggang county. It is located in the south of the county, surrounded by Qinggang town. In January 1970, Qinggang Town, civil affairs, labor and Zhagang commune were divided into production brigades to form suburban people's commune. In 1984, the government and society were separated and changed into suburban villages. suburban rural areas have flat terrain and fertile soil. Five villages in the township mainly produce grain, mainly corn, sorghum, millet, wheat and soybean; four villages mainly produce vegetables, mainly autumn and summer vegetables, for urban residents. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 12.48 million yuan. The township has jurisdiction over 9 villages, including prospect, paradise, Tuanjie, Xinmin, Lemin, Dongjiao, Dongfeng, Donghua and Limin.
