Guitai town

Historical evolution

Guitai town has a long history. In the pre Qin period, it belonged to Baiyue. After the first emperor of Qin unified China, it was under the jurisdiction of Xiangjun. From the Han Dynasty to the Jin Dynasty, Qinzhou belonged to Hepu County, Jiaozhou. At the end of the Southern Dynasty, Yuanjia set up Moshou County, and the Liang Dynasty belonged to Anzhou. in 622 ad, ningyue county was changed to Qinzhou governor's office; in Yuan Dynasty, it was changed to Qinzhou road; in the early Ming Dynasty, it was changed to Qinzhou Prefecture; in the Republic of China, it was changed to Qinxian County, which is under the jurisdiction of the Qinlian special office of Guangdong Province. Zhang ruigui

The commander of the Kuomintang army, known as "born Zhang Fei". Zhang ruigui (1890-1977), a native of natong village, Guitai Township, Qinzhou. When he was young, he was known as "watching duck Zhang" and loved to learn martial arts. At the age of 19, he worked in Nanning sauce store. At the age of 22, he abandoned his job and joined the army. He successively served as platoon, company, battalion, regiment and brigade commander. During the Anti Japanese War, he served as commander of the 63rd army, known as "born Zhang Fei". He served as the defense minister of eastern Guangdong. From 1939 to 1940, there were two battles in northern Guangdong. In the battle of Qujiang, he personally went to the front line to supervise the battle. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he retired and returned to Qin in 1946. In 1947, he was appointed by Chiang Kai Shek as the "commander in chief of the southern region of Guangdong and Guangxi". He personally led his troops back to 100000 mountain areas to "encircle and suppress" the guerrillas led by the Communist Party. Later, he was defeated by the guerrillas.
