Xianglin town is located in the north of Xuyong County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. It has 2 communities and 8 administrative villages, with a total of 5800 households and 23200 people, covering an area of 150 square kilometers, including 45000 mu of cultivated land. The town government, the town Party committee and the town people's Congress are stationed on the central street of the town.

Xianglin town was originally Xianglin township. In December 2015, the township was set up.

Historical evolution

In 1958, Xiangbi commune was established by merging Xiangbi, Dalong, Xiaoqiao and Taiping. It was renamed Xianglin commune in 1981 and Xianglin Township in 1984.

In December 2015, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Xuyong County abolished Xianglin Township and established Xianglin Town, with the former administrative region of Xianglin township as the administrative region of Xianglin town.

Xianglin town is located in the north of Xuyong County, Sichuan Province, 50 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Dashi Township and Wutong town of Hejiang County in the East, Shuiwei town and Tianchi town in the south, Dagu town of Naxi District in the north and Jiangmen town in the West. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south, with the highest altitude of 1078m and the lowest altitude of 369m. The territory has a mild climate, abundant rainfall and four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is 18 ° C and the annual rainfall is about 1250mm. The main soil types are paddy soil and purple soil, mainly producing rice, corn, sweet potato and other crops. It covers an area of 150 square kilometers and 45000 mu of cultivated land.

Tianhe Waterfall Scenic Spot is located in Yuanlong and Longchi villages in the north of Xianglin Town, more than 20 kilometers away from the intersection of national highway 321 and Xiamen Chengdu expressway, 15 kilometers away from Sidonggou, a national scenic spot, and 20 kilometers away from huadraft stream, a national nature reserve. Located at an altitude of more than 1000 meters, the scenic area is mainly composed of waterfall groups with different heights, with a drop of 88 meters. In addition, the height of several cascades decreases gradually, with different shapes and styles, which is known as "the first waterfall in South Sichuan" and "natural oxygen bar". There are many scenic spots such as jiexingyan, Guzhai group and Alsophila spinulosa group.
