Maogudui town is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Suiyang District of Shangqiu City. Maogudui town is located in the southwest of the city, 15.5km away from the urban area. Covering an area of 65.4 square kilometers, Maogudui township was established in 1955, the commune was changed in 1958, the district was set up in 1961, the township was restored in 1983, and the town was set up in 2014.

Traffic location

Shangzhou expressway, provincial highway 206 and 327 run through the whole territory, with superior geographical position. It is adjacent to Huxiang Township in Zhecheng County in the southwest, Lema Township and Guocun Township in the West and northwest, Luhe town in the north, Likou town and loudian Township in the East and Southeast. Shangzhou expressway runs through the whole territory, with Longhai Railway and national highway 310 in the north, Jingjiu Railway and national highway 105 in the East, Shangzhou Expressway in the West and Huolian Expressway in the north, Dasha River in the north, clear water and dense poplar forest on the bank.
