Qijiang town

Qijiang town is subordinate to longhui County, Hunan Province. It is located in the north of longhui County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, 47 kilometers away from the county. It is the central section leading to Weiyuan's former residence, Weiyuan hot spring, Gaozhou hot spring, Huxing mountain Huayao and other northern tourist attractions. On November 5, 2013, the provincial people's Government approved the abolition of Qijiang Township and the establishment of Qijiang Town, with the former administrative region of Qijiang township as the new administrative region of Qijiang town.

Qijiang town has a total area of 107.46 square kilometers (in 2017), cultivated land area of nearly 50000 mu, and a total population of 55321 people (in 2017). It has jurisdiction over 39 administrative villages, one agricultural science team, and 422 villager groups. The town people's government is located in Shibei (formerly the people's Government of Qijiang township).

General situation of Qijiang town

Qijiang town is located in the north of longhui County, Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, 47 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Gaoping town in the East, liuduzhai town and Hetian Township in the south, simenqian town in the West and yanggu'ao Township in the north. It is the central area leading to Weiyuan's former residence, Weiyuan lake, Gaozhou hot spring, Weiyuan hot spring, xiaoshajiang Huayao and other northern tourist attractions.

Qijiang has convenient transportation and superior location. S219 provincial road passes through the town from north to south, more than 10 kilometers long in Qijiang. The East-West Qigao highway (from Qijiang to Gaoping) is an important channel connecting Gaoping Town, Luohong Township and Xinshao county. So far, the city has 220 township level administrative districts, including 24 streets, 101 towns, 74 townships and 21 ethnic townships. There are 5903 grassroots organizations, including 393 community residents committees and 5510 villages.
