Wudang Mountain Special Zone

Wudang Mountain special zone belongs to Danjiangkou City, Shiyan City, Hubei Province. It is adjacent to dingjiaying town of Danjiangkou City in the East, Liuliping town of Danjiangkou City in the west, Shiyan City in the distance, Fangxian County in the south through Guanshan Town of Danjiangkou City, Longshan Town in the north, and Danjiangkou reservoir, the first industrial Lake in Asia and the water source of the middle route of South to north water diversion.

In August 1997, the governor's office meeting of Hubei Province decided to merge Wudang Mountain special zone with Wudang Mountain Tourism and landscape administration of Hubei Province and Wudang Mountain Tourism Administration of Hubei Province. In June 2003, the Hubei provincial Party committee and the provincial government held an on-the-spot meeting in Wudang Mountain and pointed out that under the premise of keeping the administrative division unchanged, which belongs to Danjiangkou City. The people's Congress of Danjiangkou City entrusts Wudang Mountain Tourism Special Economic Zone with certain management functions and authorities, and establishes Wudang Mountain Special Economic Zone Working Committee and Special Administrative Committee, which is the agency of Shiyan City and cooperates with Wudang Mountain Scenic Area Administration Bureau of Hubei Province.
