Tandian township is located in the northeast of Huangchuan County, adjacent to Bailu River in the East, Huanggang and Sanpi in the East, Xiaohuang River in the west, Weigang and Lailong in the west, Yiyang office in the South and shangyougang Township in the north. Historical evolution

In 1975, Tandian commune was set up by shanpisi commune, and it was changed to township in 1983. In 1997, with an area of 50 square kilometers and a population of 25000, it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, namely Changgang, Maoji, Youdian village, daluhe, xiaoluhe, laojuntai, Paifang, baliping, Zhuzhai and Tandian.

In 2005, xiaoludian township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Tandian township.
