Chengqian town

Chengqian Town, subordinate to Zoucheng City, Jining City, Shandong Province, is located in the easternmost part of Zoucheng City. It is connected with Pingyi County, Linyi City in the East, Shanting District, Zaozhuang City in the south, Zhangzhuang town and Tianhuang town in the west, and Sishui County in the north. The people's Government of Chengqian town is 41 kilometers away from Zoucheng City in the west, with a total area of 191 square kilometers.

From the Sui Dynasty, the town front area was always Teng County; in December 2000, the town was revoked and the town was merged into the town. As of the end of 2018, the town had 93659 registered residence population. As of June 2020, the town had 111 administrative villages under the jurisdiction of the town, and the former village of the town people's government.

History of construction

Since the Sui Dynasty, Chengqian town has always belonged to Tengxian county.

In August 1947, Baiyan county was set up and divided into the front area of Baiyan county.

In May 1950, it was divided into the ninth and fourteenth districts of Baiyan county.

In August 1953, Baiyan county was abolished and its ninth and fourteenth districts were classified as Zou County, which was the twelfth, thirteenth and twelfth districts of Zou County.

In November 1955, the two districts were renamed Chengqian district and Shanghe district.

In October 1956, Shanghe district was divided into Chengqian district.

In March 1958, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged.

On August 24, 1958, five townships were abolished and Chengqian and Shanghe communes were established. In October, Shanghe commune was abolished.

In June 1962, Chengqian commune was divided into Chengqian commune and Shanghe commune.

In May 1983, it was changed into Chengqian district and Shanghe township; in July of the same year, the township was changed into Chengqian district.

In January 1987, the district was abolished, Chengqian district was renamed Chengqian Town, and Shanghe district was renamed Shanghe township.

In December 2000, Shanghe township was abolished and merged into Chengqian town.

Chengqian town is located in the east of Zoucheng City. It is connected with Pingyi County of Linyi City in the East, Shanting District of Zaozhuang City in the south, Zhangzhuang town and Tianhuang town in the west, and Sishui County in the north.
