Damaiyu street is located in the southwest of Yuhuan City, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is close to the national first-class port - Damaiyu natural deep-water harbor. The total land area of the region is 70.93 square kilometers, with a population of 83759 (in 2010). It has jurisdiction over 7 communities, 35 village committees and 622 villager groups. The development zone was built in June 1992 and upgraded to a provincial economic development zone with the approval of the provincial people's Government in November 1993.
