Maojialing Street

Maojialing street is located in the south of Xinzhou District and the South Bank of Xinjiang River. It covers an area of 23km2 and has a population of 49403 (in 2010). It manages six neighborhood committees including Jiefang, Tongxin, choukou, Siji, shijihuayuan and Wangjiayuan, and four administrative villages including Tashui, Zhoutian, Chetou she and maojialing. Historical evolution

Before liberation, it belonged to Guangping town and zunqiao District of Shangrao County. In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to the liberated Township, production Township and Shengli township of the suburban people's government; from 1955 to 1956, it was renamed maojialing Township, which successively belonged to the suburban people's Committee, the suburban office and the suburban public office. Under the direct leadership of the city in 1957, it was changed into a commune in 1958 and returned to the township in 1984. In 1997, it covers an area of 25 square kilometers and has a population of 17000. It has jurisdiction over two neighborhood committees of hutantou and yangjiahu, and seven administrative villages of Jiefang, Tongxin, choukou, Siji, maojialing, Zhoutian and Tashui. The township government is located in yangjiahu, 1.4km away from the urban area. In 2001, the former Chetou administrative village of Changqing township was included. In 2005, maojialing township was abolished and a sub district office was established. Taking the Century Garden neighborhood committee of the former maojialing Township and Shuinan sub district office as the administrative area of maojialing sub district office, it governs four neighborhood committees of century garden, choukou, Wangjiayuan and hutantou, and six administrative villages of Jiefang, Tongxin, Tashui, Zhoutian, Chetou and maojialing.
