Yangqiaodian Town, under the jurisdiction of Dongxiang District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northernmost part of Dongxiang District, bordering Yugan County of Shangrao City in the East, Xiaohuang Town, Xiaogang town and Deng hometown of Dongxiang District in the south, Jinxian County of Nanchang City in the West and Poyang Lake in the North. The town government is located in Yangqiao village. It has an area of 142.9 square kilometers and 17 administrative villages. In late 2018, there were 38 thousand and 200 registered residence population in Yang Qiao Dian town.

History of construction

During the period of the Republic of China, the territory belonged to Yangqiao Township and Licheng township.

In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Yuyi district and was divided into Gangxi, Yangqiao, Gangshang, Wentian and Mayuan townships. In 1956, Gangxi, Yangqiao, Gangshang, Wentian and Mayuan townships were merged into Wentian and Gangxi townships. In October 1958, Wentian and Gangxi townships were merged into Yangqiao commune. In the winter of 1969, Yangqiao commune and Yuyi commune merged; in 1972, Yangqiao commune and Yuyi commune were divided, and Yangqiao commune still governed the original administrative region; in May 1984, Yangqiao commune was changed to Yangqiao township; in November 1984, Yangqiao township was renamed yangqiaodian township; in 2001, Yuyi Township and yangqiaodian Township were merged into yangqiaodian town.
