Danxi township is located in the south end of Xunwu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. Its language is Hakka, with Pingyuan Hakka accent. It covers an area of 163.79 square kilometers and has a permanent resident population of 18723 people (2017). It governs 10 administrative villages, 98 villager groups, and 8 surrounding towns. It borders on Zhonghang, Dazhe and Shizheng towns in Pingyuan County, Guangdong Province in the East and south, and Huanghuai and huangzheng towns in Xingning City in the West Bordering on Po and Luofu, and on the north with Longting and liuche, it is the South Gate of Jiangxi Province, and also the most connected town between Xunwu and Guangdong Province. Danxi township is located in the southern end of Xunwu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, more than 60 kilometers away from the county seat, and about 18 kilometers away from Pingyuan County, Guangdong Province, covering an area of 163.79 square kilometers, including 642.9 hectares of cultivated land, 12753.3 hectares of mountain forest, with a forest coverage rate of 90%. On December 18, 2014, Datang International Xunwu luanlozhang wind farm project was approved by Jiangxi Energy Bureau. Xunwu luanlozhang wind farm project is located in Danxi township. The project has an installed capacity of 66000 kW, 33 sets of 2000 kW wind turbines are installed, with an annual on grid power of 138 million kwh. It can save about 44400 tons of standard coal, reduce emissions of about 119000 tons of carbon dioxide, 1061 tons of sulfur dioxide and 209 tons of nitrogen oxides every year. Xunwu luanluozhang wind farm is the largest wind power project approved by Datang International in Jiangxi.
