The township has 25 administrative villages with an administrative area of 102 square kilometers, a cultivated area of 58000 Mu and a population of 25000. On September 30, 2016, the adjustment of some administrative divisions of Handan city was approved by the State Council, and Nancheng township was under the jurisdiction of Fuxing District of Handan city.
