Nangong town

Nangong town is a town under the jurisdiction of Taijiang County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It is located in the southeast of Taijiang County, at the north foot of Leigong Mountain, the main peak of Miaoling. It is 54 kilometers away from the county. The connecting line of 320 and 321 national highway passes through the county. It borders Leishan, Jianhe and Rongjiang counties, Taigong street and fangzhao town.

History of construction

On January 14, 2016, Guizhou Provincial People's Government approved the abolition of Nangong Township and the establishment of Nangong town.

As of January 2016, the town has 11 administrative villages, namely Jiaogong village, Jiaomi village, Nangong village, Datian village, Jiaobao village, donglao village, Wuxi village, zhana village, Nanniu village, Jiaoxia village and yongdang village.

The annual average temperature is 13-16.3 ℃, frost free period is 249-285 days, and annual precipitation is 1162.9-1435.8 mm. It is a good place for summer resort. the town is rich in forest resources and is a big forestry Township in the county. The area is covered by 265005 mu of forest land, 249530.25 mu of forest land, 3505 mu of shrub land, 3096 mu of forest land without standing trees, 8012 mu of grassland, and the forest coverage rate is 71.8%. The total volume of standing trees is 1123000 m3. It belongs to subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest belt, and the forest community is mainly evergreen broad-leaved forest and evergreen coniferous forest. there are many vegetation types and animal species in the town. The main tree species resources in the township belong to 199 species, 111 genera, 56 families, and are listed as the national first and second level key protected tree species, including 14 species, such as Taiwania flousiana, Ginkgo biloba, Taxus chinensis var. mairei, calyx wood, horsetail tree, Cephalotaxus fortunei, etc. There are more than 50 kinds of rare animals, such as giant salamander, Swertia, wild boar, bear, macaque, pangolin, five step snake, Bungarus multicinctus, Zhuyeqing, red bellied Caragana, etc. There are 421 kinds of Chinese medicinal materials, such as Coptis, ice hockey, eucommia, Gastrodia elata, musk, etc. the town is rich in ethnic customs and tourism resources. There are famous Baibang Feige in the art world, beautiful Miao costumes such as miniskirts and unique style of Miao stilts, lush and verdant original evergreen broad-leaved forest and wengmi river rafting and other scenic spots.
