In April 1960, dananbianmen commune was merged into Binhe commune. In November 1961, it was changed into Binhe and Danan communes. In July 1978, it was changed to Binhe street. In January 2005, the original Xiaonan street and Binhe street were merged into Binhe street. As of June 2020, Binhe street has 16 communities under its jurisdiction.

In June 1954, laoduizi Street (the predecessor of Danan Street) was established.

In October 1958, it was changed into Binhe commune.
