Yuduan Township
Yuduan Township, subordinate to Xiushui County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southwest border of Xiushui County, connecting Daqiao town in the north, Shangshan town in the East, Longmen town in Pingjiang County, Hunan Province in the West and south, covering an area of 37.1 square kilometers. It has five administrative villages and the township government is located in Shangyuan village. In late 2018, there were 4895 registered residence population in Yu Duan township.
In 2015, yuduan Township realized the total rural economic income of 28.38 million yuan, the per capita net income of farmers reached 2898 yuan, and the fiscal revenue reached 23.3 million yuan.
History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, the territory belonged to the 64 capitals of Ren township.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Daqiao Township, Huanglong district.
In September 1949, it belonged to Shangyuan township of Daqiao township (ten districts); in September 1958, yuduan commune was established; in March 1960, yuduan commune was merged into Zhuxi commune; in 1961, it was separated into yuduan commune; in September 1968, it was merged into Daqiao commune; in January 1972, it was separated into yuduan commune; in June 1984, yuduan commune was abolished and Yuduan township was established.

Yuduan township is located in the embrace of Tulong mountain and Dongyang mountain, with continuous mountains in the East, West and North, rolling hills in the middle, high in the north and low in the south. The highest point of Tulong mountain is 1080.3 meters above sea level, and the lowest point of Dianqian is 210.2 meters above sea level.

Yuduan river originates from gantangwei, where three small tributaries flow into Miluo River from Longmen Town, Pingjiang County, Hunan Province, with a length of 7 km.

Yuduan township has a woodland area of 2867 hectares, with a forest coverage rate of more than 70% and a standing stock of 65000 cubic meters. The main trees are pine, fir, miscellaneous trees, Camellia oleifera and Phyllostachys pubescens. The main mineral resources are gold.

cultural relics and historic sites
Xiajietou old house is one of the ten well preserved ancient houses in yuduan. It used to be the activity site of Yuyu commune. According to Wu's genealogy, the old house was built in 1800, which took three years to complete. It was built by Wu Xuecheng, the 18th grandson of Wu Ruyun, the first ancestor of the Wu family.
Folk customs
Yuduan villagers like to drink tea. When they meet guests, they first offer their seats and then offer a bowl of tea. Xiushui tea is different from foreign tea in that it uses condiments to make tea, so it is called drinking tea as eating tea. According to different condiments, tea can be divided into Renxiang tea, Fengxiang tea, taixiang tea, Huaiyuan tea and assorted tea. Most of the seasonings are tea, chrysanthemum, soybean, sesame, radish, ginger, orange peel, etc., and some are supplemented with pepper, sweet scented osmanthus and tea bow. Taixiang tea also uses fried rice or corn as the main tea material, which can quench thirst and satisfy the stomach.
