Danling town

Danling town is located in the urban area of Danling County, 35 km away from Meishan area and 120 km away from Chengdu. Provincial highway 106 runs through the whole county, and DanJia highway passes through the whole county. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the county, covering an area of 60.32 square kilometers. It has 11 administrative villages, 84 economic communities, 4 community neighborhood committees and 13 resident groups, with a total number of 45306 people. The land is fertile, the rainfall is sufficient, the climate is mild. At the end of 2010, the cultivated land area is 2348 hectares. It is one of 101 key small market towns in the province and 20 key industrial towns in Meishan City.

On December 10, 2019, it was withdrawn and incorporated into Qile town according to meifuhan No. 84.

On December 10, 2019, Meishan Municipal People's government issued the reply of Meishan Municipal People's Government on approving Dongpo District and other six counties (districts) to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships (No. 84 of Meifu letter) v. on the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Danling county (No. 40) to cancel Danling Town, Shiqiao Town and Shuangqiao town and establish Qile town. The administrative areas of Danling Town, yuanshiqiao Township, Shihe village, Huangjin village, Suchang village, Meiwan village, longgeng village, Tiangong village and Shizi village of Yangchang town will be under the jurisdiction of Qile town. The people's Government of Qile town is located at 176 Binhe South Road. Danling town is located in the urban area of Danling County, where DanJia highway passes through. The town has fertile land, abundant rainfall and mild climate. The proportion of agriculture and economy in the town reaches 9.5:1, and it is one of the 101 key small market towns in the province. Under the leadership of the Party committee and the government, the total industrial and agricultural output value has reached 132.62 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers has reached 2505 yuan. In 1996, it took the lead in entering the ranks of well-off towns. The road and cable TV have been connected to every village, and the coverage rate of post and telecommunications has reached more than 90%. Urban construction, new area construction has begun to take shape, convenient transportation, 35 km away from Meishan area, 120 km away from Chengdu, provincial highway 106 line through the whole territory. The market trade is prosperous and the social order is good. The government is efficient, open and one-stop service. Danling town is rich in natural gas and building materials. There are navel oranges and grapes that are sold both inside and outside the province. It is a famous fruit town. The famous Buddhist holy land "Longhu courtyard" and "Danling White Pagoda" are good places for leisure tourism.
