Historical evolution
Yingshan was once known as yeshakeng and yingdoukeng. In 1934, during the period of xiadingtai County Soviet government, there were 13 village Soviet governments, including tiantouyang District Soviet government, yingdoukeng and guan'an Township Soviet government, Dongping, heheheyang (now Fengyang), xiongzhuang, shigulan, Lijiashan, fujiashan, Hejiashan, ganghou, youmachuo, Hualing, Shangzhai, fengqigang and Banling. At the low tide of the revolution, Hualing's natural village at the foot of the mountain was once the seat of xiadingtai central county Party committee. During the reign of the Kuomintang, yingdoukeng Township and yingdoukeng Bao were set up in 24-28 of the Republic of China. In the 32nd year of the Republic of China, yingdou kengbao was changed to Yingshan Bao, and the name of Yingshan began from then on. In June 1950, the county people's government abolished the Baojia system, and Yingshan Bao was renamed Yingshan township. After communization, it became Yingshan people's commune. In October 1984, the commune was abolished and the township system was restored to Yingshan township.
