Xuba Township

Xuba Township, Yi'an District, Tongling City, Anhui Province, is located 17 kilometers north of Yi'an District, Anhui Province. It is formed by the merger of the former Anping and xuba townships. It is surrounded by the river on all sides. It is not only a typical river center, but also the largest river center in the province. It faces Xilian Township, Wusong town and Laozhou Township in the East, South and West, and Wuwei County in the north. Covering an area of 86 square kilometers, the township is composed of anpingwei, wenshawei, zixuwei and tieluozhou. The area of cultivated land is 52000 mu, water surface is 23000 mu, and forest land is more than 20000 mu. It is an important production base of cotton and rape in Yi'an district. Xuba township has 16 administrative villages and 1 community with a total population of 34800. Historical evolution

Xuba township was established in 1957, changed to commune in 1961, and changed to township in 1983. In 1997, with an area of 38 square kilometers and a population of 17000, it has jurisdiction over 11 village committees including Xinzhou, Wenxing, Nanjiang, Qunxin, Xuguang, Honglou, Huangdun, Longtan, taokou, Zisha and Yiguan. In May 2004, Anping township was merged into xuba township. After the adjustment, xuba township has one neighborhood committee and 23 village committees with a total area of 86 square kilometers and a total population of 35700.
