Xucheng Street

Xucheng street, established in 2015, is located in Xuyi county, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. It is named after Xuyi county and is the seat of the county people's government. It is located in the northwest of Xuyi county, adjacent to mudian town in the East, guantan town in the north, Gusang street in the South and Huaihe River in the West.

Xucheng street has an administrative area of 74.58 square kilometers, a population of 140200, and manages 14 neighborhood committees. It is an ancient mountain city surrounded by mountains and rivers. Ning Su Xu Expressway passes through the territory with convenient transportation and obvious location advantages.

Evolution of organizational system

Xucheng street is located in the East Bank of the lower reaches of the Huaihe River. It is the political, economic and cultural center of Xuyi county.

On May 18, 2015, the people's Government of Jiangsu Province agreed to cancel Xucheng town in Xuyi county. Xucheng sub district office of Xuyi county is set up in 14 neighborhood committee areas of the original Xucheng Town, including xinwan, Zhaogang, Yulu, Xinhua, Yangang, Chengbei, Chengzhong, Chengnan, Wudun, Shagang, Xuanhua, Shiniu, Guoyuan and linchaichang. The sub district office is located at No. 37, Huaihe East Road of the neighborhood committee in the city. Taihe street was established by merging the three neighborhood committee areas of Taihe, Youfa and Maoying in Xucheng town with the surrounding parts of Weiqiao Township, mudian Township and yuangusang township. Its sub district office is located in Tieshan road of Taihe neighborhood committee.
