Zhenxing District, subordinate to Dandong City, Liaoning Province, is located in the east of Liaoning Province. It is not only along the Yellow Sea, but also along the Yalu River, and along the Korean Peninsula. It is a rare city in China. Historical evolution

In 1876, it was Anton county. In 1938, Dahe District, Xuri district and Zhongxing district were established. In 1945, it was divided into three districts: Central, Zhenjiang and Zhongxing. In 1947, it was divided into central and Zhenxing districts. In 1956, the central district was merged into Zhenxing District. In 1965, Zhenxing District was renamed Zhenxing District. In 1997, Zhenxing District covers an area of 17 square kilometers with a population of 304 000. It has jurisdiction over six streets, namely Liudaogou, toudaoqiao, fiber, Linjiang, Zhanqian and maokuishan. In 1999, Liaoning Provincial Government approved that Anmin town of Donggang City, Langtou town and Huayuan Office of Zhen'an District should be included in Zhenxing District.
