Extrathoracic cardiac compression
In case of sudden cardiac arrest, external cardiac compression must be used immediately for on-site rescue
(1) Let the patient lie on his back on a flat and hard bed or on the ground, protruding his chin to ensure smooth airway. The first responder knelt down on one side of the patient to find the exact pressing position.
(2) Then, the other hand is overlapped on the back of the hand, the arm is extended, the patient's sternum is depressed by 3-4cm, and then relaxed.
(3) It is better to press 60-80 times per minute.
(4) If the patient stops breathing at the same time, mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration should be carried out at the same time of chest compression.
