The original name of Longfeng Mountain was changed to Longfeng Mountain in the early 1980s.

Zigong Longfeng Mountain Park is a mountain forest park characterized by natural scenery. It was originally named Longfeng Mountain. In the early 1980s, it was renamed Longfeng Mountain. Located in the north of Jiaotong Road, Fuxi River in the South and Jiefang Road in the north, it covers an area of 120 mu.

In 1930, Zigong Municipal Office selected Longfeng Mountain, which is located at the gate of street and road, with high mountains, strange rocks and luxuriant vegetation, as the park. In 1944, Vice Chairman Feng Yuxiang came to advocate the patriotic donation movement, and his inscription of "return my River Mountain" was engraved on the stone wall at the southern foot of the mountain.

In July 1959, Zigong Municipal People's Committee decided to build Longfeng Mountain Park, organizing citizens to plant trees and afforest the whole mountain for many years. After 1984, the construction of the park was accelerated.

The garden sculptures of "herd of deer" and "dragon and phoenix" in the forest are wild and interesting. In the east of the garden, the terrain is gentle, the arbor forest is luxuriant, the forest is deep, quiet and pleasant. The central open-air teahouse and amusement park are adjacent to each other. A piece of crape myrtle and cherry blossom add to the landscape. In the west, the mountains are steep, the rocks are rugged, and the ancient trees are vigorous.

Longfengshan park is a green pearl in the center of the city. Its style is rough and natural.

Longfengshan park used to be a popular park for children. Nowadays, tourists are not as good as they used to be. Only restaurants and tea gardens on the mountain can vaguely remind people of Longfeng Mountain. Without the noise of the past, Longfeng Mountain is also returning to nature. Perhaps in the future, it will return to glory and become a paradise in Zigong again, just a green paradise in Zigong.

The original amusement park on both sides of the main road of Longfeng Mountain Park has been basically transformed into a restaurant and a tea garden. Without the noise of the past, it's still good to come to the forest for tea and lung washing. At present, it's also one of the few popular places here.
