Nantan Kui forest, a hometown of overseas Chinese in Wuyi, is located on Nantan Island, Xinhui District, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, where more than 1500 mu of pukui forest is preserved. At the beginning of the 21st century, some experts pointed out that this is the only pukui forest in the world, and also the only pukui forest with scale and history of more than 100 years in China. Nantan Island, located in the southwest of Huicheng (the author's note: "Huicheng" is another name for "Jiangmen Xinhui District"), covers an area of nearly 1000 hectares. It is an alluvial island in Tanjiang River area. With mild climate and fertile land, it is most suitable for the growth of tropical and subtropical evergreen trees. On Nantan Island, however, the largest growing species is the dandelion. A large area of Sunflower Forest covers most of the land on the island. From a high altitude, Nantan island looks like green emerald inlaid in Xinhui.
