Peony Garden in Xi'an

Peony garden is a theme park that promotes the architectural style and peony culture of Tang Dynasty. Focusing on the poems, songs, legends, anecdotes of celebrities and peonies, as well as the origin and pharmacological functions of different peony varieties, this paper deeply explores the peony culture and fully displays the individual and group effects of peony. Through the creation of "colorful", "king of flowers", "national color and natural fragrance" three-dimensional space, the development and changes of peony are displayed.

Peony Garden in Xi'an

The peony garden in Xi'an is located at the intersection of Kunming Road and Tangyan Road (that is, the ruins of the city walls of Huaide square and Qunxian square in ancient Tang city). It is about 750 meters long from north to South and 89-95 meters wide from east to west, with a total area of about 69800 square meters. In 2007, with the support of sun Qingyun and Chen Baogen, leaders of the municipal Party committee and government, it was built by Xi'an municipal government with an investment of 13.96 million yuan. It was officially opened to the public free of charge on April 13, 2008.

In the peony garden, there are 35 species of peony, about 24000 plants, and more than 80 species of other trees, shrubs and ground cover plants, such as peony, golden thread butterfly, Magnolia, tulip, etc., with a total area of more than 120000 plants, covering a total area of 69800 square meters.

The whole park is divided into "one center, two axes and six districts". Taking the national flower terrace as the center, the east-west and North-South axes are the two axes. There are two peony culture exhibition areas and peony viewing areas on both sides of the East and West, showing the peony in physical state and the peony in human form. In the park, not only the plant landscape and stone configuration match each other, but also all kinds of imitation Tang architecture, such as jianyunchi, yixiangting, shihualin square, national flower terrace, peony totem pole, imitation Tang archway, Shinto, Shengshi Peony Square, etc. are also cleverly combined with various plants with peony as the theme, highlighting the landscape of Xi'an's historical and cultural city, achieving the landscape effect of "flowers in three seasons, evergreen in four seasons". The mid April of every year is the time when peonies are in full bloom, and it is also the best time for citizens to watch the national flower peony. The longest flowering period of peonies in the garden is 15-20 days. When peonies are in full bloom, it is the time when peonies are in full bloom.

From north to south, peony garden is divided into five parks: shengshidan garden, liuxianzuichun Park, guohuatai Park, Baifang Zhengyan Park and yixiangting park. There are 35 tree peony varieties in the park, about 24000 trees. In addition, there are more than 80 species of other trees, shrubs and ground cover plants, such as Paeonia lactiflora, tulip, Magnolia grandiflora, golden thread butterfly, etc., totaling more than 120000 plants. The overall design of the peony garden has two major breakthroughs, namely, breaking through the confines of garden appreciation, paying attention to cultural connotation, and showing the grand atmosphere of the Tang Dynasty in the overall planning.
