The cause of formation of the snow in Tianzhu is related to the geology and geomorphology. The "Snow Mountain" is composed of feldspar dominated mixed granite with relatively low quartz content. The rocks are often wet, exposed to the sun and cold at night. The rock layer is gradually weathered and peeled off, and gradually loose into sand. Over time, the rocks are accumulated into hills. The sunlight and the moon are reflected, and the crystal light is shining all around like snow.

The picking and baking of Tianzhu Qingxue are very exquisite.

Tianzhu Mountain is famous for its tea production. There are many brands of high mountain green tea, among which Tianzhu Qingxue tea is the most famous. "Tianzhu Jianhao", "Tianzhu Yunwu", "Tianzhu Xiangjian", "Tianzhu Yinqu", "Tianzhu Cuizhu", "Tianzhu Maofeng" and "Tianzhu Xianyue" are known as "Tianzhu seven fairies".
