Dongwangyang mountain, also known as Songshan, is located in the center of Macao. It is the highest mountain in Macao with an altitude of more than 90 meters. It is full of trees and green. You can see the panoramic view of Macao.

Colina Da Guia, commonly known as Songshan, is the highest hill on the Macao Peninsula, 93 meters above sea level, and is connected to ruoxian mountain in the south. "Looking to the East" is relative to looking to the West. Portuguese appellation originated from the name of the general who led the Dutch army to attack Macao.

Qin mountain is called in ancient times (because it looks like lying Qin). It used to be a barren hill, facing the sea in the East. The fort was built in 1622 (with a church and the oldest lighthouse in the Far East. The longitude and latitude coordinates of Macao are determined according to the lighthouse coordinates). It is a part of Macao's historical city. In the 19th century, the Australian and Portuguese Governments planted pine trees extensively, so it was called Songshan. Later, it opened up a park and became an important city of Macao. In the 1920s, the eastern foot of the sea was reclaimed into a new port, and up to now, there are many ports in Guangxia.

Once a year, the Grand Prix race track in Macao passes through the seaside road of Dongwangyang mountain, which is called Dongwangyang race track. In the mountains, there is a Songshan tunnel connecting stonecutters Avenue and the new port.

Looking at the Yangshan mountain in the East is an excellent place for Macao to enjoy the fragrance of birds and flowers and keep away from the dust. Because pine trees are planted all over the mountain, it is also called "Songshan". It is the highest point of Macao's terrain. When you climb on the top of the mountain, you can have a bird's-eye view of Macao's various regions. At the top of the mountain are the ancient fort left by the 17th century and the oldest lighthouse in the Far East history built in 1865. So far, the lighthouse still shines all night around Macao to pilot ships. There is a telescope next to the lighthouse. When the sky is clear, you can see Lantau, the largest island in Hong Kong.

Landscape crisis

In 2006, the chief executive approved the repeal of the urban planning charter for the new reclamation area of outer Hong Kong, which was formulated more than ten years ago. On August 8, the Bureau of land, works and transport (bureau of Public Affairs) announced plans to renovate the areas along Dr. roliki's main road and gasilan road.

When reporting the plan, the newspapers specially pointed out the elevation of buildings in many sections of the mountain. The height of buildings in section 134 reached 135 meters above sea level, and the height of buildings in several sections nearby varied from 99.9 meters to 90 meters. Some people in the cultural circle worry that once implemented, it may lead to environmental protection and social public health crisis, and will also affect the cultural landscape of Macao.

According to the Culture Bureau on January 23, 2007, the relevant issues are being discussed with the Works Bureau, but it is emphasized that the works bureau is responsible for the approval of the project. On January 28, the joint office of China issued a statement to take the initiative to reduce the height of its new office building. On February 4, a cultural action was held to discuss urban landscape issues. On June 12, the government said that the height limit of buildings at the foot of Dongwang Yangshan mountain would be renewed in accordance with the height limit set by the former Australian and Portuguese government. For buildings with approved plans, the government would communicate with developers and ask for floor reduction, which could be compensated in terms of coverage and plot ratio.
