Introduction to haiyanghaozi (Xiangshan fisherman's Haozi)

Xiangshan fisherman's chant is composed of fisherman's chant in traditional fishery production and boatman's chant in marine transportation industry, collectively referred to as "Fisherman's chant". Shipu (East Gate) and juexi are the main birthplaces and inheritors of Xiangshan fishermen's songs.

Xiangshan fishermen's songs had been initially formed in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and flourished from the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty to the period of the Republic of China. In the mid-1960s, due to the manual fishing operation gradually replaced by mechanization, the heavy labor gradually became easy, the living space of the number was shrinking, and the fishermen's number gradually disappeared.

Xiangshan fishermen's bugles can be divided into more than 20 kinds according to the working procedure, such as anchor lifting bugles, awning bugles, rowing bugles, etc.; according to the strength required by the operation, they can be divided into big bugles, 16 bugles and small bugles, and all kinds of bugles can be used flexibly.

As a folk art form with Xiangshan marine characteristics, Xiangshan fishermen's chant has been listed in the ranks of rescue and protection by Xiangshan County Cultural Department, and has achieved substantial protection results through various methods and means.
