Progressive bridge connects Heping Road business district on the West Bank of Haihe River with Austrian style and Italian style districts on the East Bank of Haihe River.

Connect Nanshi business district, Heping Road business district and the Austrian style area to the east of Haihe River to make the communication between these business districts closer. The bridge body is designed according to the principle of "light can not be seen" and has streamline shape. From a distance, it looks like a flying fish leaping out of the water and a bullet train passing by. The shape is beautiful and lifelike.

Project overview

Progressive bridge is a key municipal construction project in Tianjin, which integrates bridge, road, drainage and green landscape, with a total investment of 130 million yuan. Progressive bridge is a self anchored truss crane composite steel structure bridge with 33 steel box girders. The width of the bridge is 30.7m and the clearance under the bridge is 4.5m. The bridge is composed of three parts: Main Bridge, ramp bridge and terrace bridge. The main bridge is a self anchored truss crane composite steel structure bridge with two-way four lanes. The width of the bridge is 35 meters, including 25 meters of carriageway width. Sidewalks are planned on both sides of the carriageway, with 5 meters of width on both sides of the sidewalk. The total length of the bridge is 180 meters, the bridge area is 4985.2 square meters, and the total length of the project is 0.508 km. The project was started in April 2006 and opened to traffic in October 2007. The architectural design of the bridge was completed by the Dutch dehewei Consulting Co., Ltd.
