Niuxinshan

Niuxin mountain is located 2 kilometers southeast of Qilian County, with an altitude of 4667 meters. It is the symbol of Qilian Mountains and can enjoy the scenery of four seasons. At the bottom of the mountain, the wheat waves are rolling and the rape flowers are fragrant. It is a farm scene of Plateau and valley agriculture. The grass is as green as the grass. It is a good pasture, and it has the reputation of "good pasture at the foot of Qilian Mountain". Niuxinshan

Niuxin mountain, known as "amidongsuo" in Tibetan, means "God of mountains" and "Zhenshan mountain". It is a mountain 2 kilometers southeast of the county. As a symbol of Qilian Mountains, it is towering and has a panoramic view of the four seasons.

It is said that in ancient times, Qilian was a vast ocean, with demons everywhere. After King Gesar learned about this, he sent from India to raise demons, dredge the sea, take the four kings to manage Qilian, and watch niuxin mountain. The main peak is the mountain god, and the four peaks around are the four heavenly kings. Another mountain god is in charge of the sea, making it never full of the sound of war drums. The two gods dredged the ocean, spread gold and silver, and bred livestock. Soon, there were groups of rare birds and animals, mushrooms and rhubarb all over the mountain, gold, silver, copper and iron everywhere. Qilian eight treasures are famous all over the world.

South Slope

There is a grotesque Stone Forest on the south slope of niuxin mountain. The local people call it Foye cliff. The parent material of the soil is mainly composed of granite and granite. Its landform is like tiger and leopard play, Phoenix looking back, monk meditating, and tourists taking a rest. According to local Tibetan people, 108 Buddha statues can be seen here by devout believers.

north slope

On the north slope, there is Niuxinshan Gongbei, which is the cemetery of the heavenly Saint (descended from houseni) wenmailai (now from Bagdad, Iraq). In 1219, when Genghis Khan, the emperor of the Yuan Dynasty, led his army to the West for the first time, 43 sages from Arab and Persian countries came to eastern China with the army of the Yuan Dynasty to preach in the Qilian region. After his death, wenmailai was buried in niuxin mountain. In 1920, three new buildings were built in the Qing Dynasty. The roof of the garden was made of brick and wood, with a ridge of tiled loach, a well carved gate and window lattice. The wall was made of polished bricks, and the ground was paved with bluestone. The fence was made of cypress. The entrance was a lotus shaped corridor made of miscellaneous stones. The whole building is novel and unique, simple and elegant, integrating Oriental and Arabic architectural styles. There is an endless stream of pilgrims. It has become one of the Muslim activity centers in Qilian, Menyuan, Datong, Gansu, Xinjiang, Ningxia and other places.

Traffic information: self driving is recommended. Self driving route:

1. Through Huangyuan county and Haiyan County, there is a 204 provincial road leading to Qilian in 315 national roads of Gangcha and Haiyan, which is 200 km from the crossing to Qilian

2. Xining starts from Datong County and qingshizui town of Menyuan County to Qilian County, which is shorter than the first route, and it has to cross Daban mountain
