Kongling Gorge

Kongling gorge, also known as Kongling gorge, is 2.5 kilometers east of niuganmafei gorge in Xiling Gorge of the Yangtze River. It is located between Miaohe and Heiyanzi in Zigui County, with a total length of 2.5 km. During this period, there are many peaks and mountains, and there are some strange stones on them. For example, the two people are fighting with each other. In ancient times, it was said that the two prefectures of Yidu and Jianping were different from each other, so they were named Duyou stone. There is Kongling beach in the gorge.

Kongling Gorge

Cliffs stand on both sides of the Strait, the turbulence is fast, it is very difficult to pull the boat, "Wu Kong Qi Ling, and then get through", so it is also known as "Kong Ling". The name of the gorge comes from this. On both sides of the Kongling gorge, there are beautiful peaks, green clouds, waterfalls, flowing springs, snow splashing beads, citrus trees, green leaves and golden fruits, colorful scenery, beautiful scenery and unlimited scenery. In the past, the beaches here were dangerous and the reefs were dense. The famous ones were "24 beads". Among them, the "big beads" were about 220 meters long, 40 meters wide and 15 meters high, protruding out of the water, such as the tiger lying in the middle of the river, and the nearby "two beads" and "three beads", known as the "three stone beads".

Kongling Beach

There is Kongling beach in Kongling gorge, which is named after beach. There is a small section in the gorge, which is also called huangniu gorge. Because there is a rock on a mountain on the bank, which looks like a man leading a cattle, it is also called huangniu mountain. The gorge is also named after the mountain. There is a folk saying like this: "cattle in the morning, cattle in the evening, cattle in the three days and three nights, cattle as before." It shows that this section of the river is very fast, with many hidden reefs. It's very hard for wooden boats to drive, and they have to be careful all the time, so the driving speed is very slow. So, after walking for several days, the mountain is still in sight.

Kongling beach is a famous dangerous beach in the world in the past. It is full of dangerous flow, dense reefs, crisscross teeth and sharp as a sword. As a result, the channel is curved and narrow, and the evil waves are turbulent. If a boat is not careful, it will hit the reef and sink. As a folk saying goes, "Qingtan Xietan is not a beach, Kongling is the gate of death", so people call it the most dangerous beach in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.

The original reef protruding from the water in Kongling gorge is engraved with three big characters "to me". If the boat passes here, it must go straight to the rock, and then it can pass safely by the recoil of the running water. If you want to avoid it, you will be hit by it instead.

After renovation, the "ghost gate" no longer exists, and the Three Gorges tourist boats are unimpeded.
