Shenmu Garden

Shenmu garden is located 60 kilometers northwest of Wensu County in Aksu, Xinjiang, with an altitude of 1700 meters and an area of more than 600 mu. It is called Tianshan Shenmu garden, also known as "Gobi pearl".

Tree species

The Uyghur language of Tianshan shenmuyuan is "kurmish atamumaza". It is the burial ground of the sages who preach the Scriptures. It is located in the front mountain area on the south side of Tomur peak in Tianshan, Xinjiang. It is a holy land for Islamic assembly and worship in history. Kurmish atamumaza is actually a group of tombs on a mound tens of meters above the ground.

There are many kinds of trees in the garden, such as poplar, elm, willow, ash, walnut, apricot, etc. but for some reason, they have different shapes. Some of the vigorous ancient trees are winding and stretching close to the ground; some are crawling on the ground like dragons and snakes; some have strong and stable trunks and branches dancing with the wind; some are connected with the roots and can't tell which is the root and which is the branch; some fall to the ground, and new branches grow from the roots, straight up, and grow into towering trees. There is a big tree in the garden, whose root is already decayed, but its crown is still full of vitality. According to information, the tallest poplar in the garden is 96.23 meters high and 6.25 meters in diameter. Few people can't hold it.

Natural scenery

The cemetery is surrounded by Gobi barren hills, but Yuanzhong is famous for its beautiful and peculiar natural scenery, rich and colorful plant resources, and simple and honest minority culture.

Historical legend

It is said that in the 11th century, an Islamic Imam named sulitankul mishsaid in Saudi Arabia led 2000 believers to pass through India and bypass the western regions of China to preach, which was resisted and clashed by the local people. When they retreated here, most of the believers had died in the war, forming a large group of garden tombs. As for the spring and woods in the garden, according to the county annals, it was when sulitakul mishsaid retreated here (this place is called zerikevidu, Uighur, which means yellow land and barren land), the believers were tired and thirsty. Sulitakul mishsaid inserted the walking stick given by Muhammad when he left Mecca into the spring source, and the spring gushed out. Later, he inserted his walking stick into different places. Wherever the walking stick was inserted, the spring water gushed out, and a miracle happened, and all the places with water became oases.
