Ganquan Academy was well-known at that time. After the end of Ming Dynasty, the Academy was in disrepair. During the Xianfeng Period of Qing Dynasty, it was in war again. So far, the stele of "sweet spring" in shuleshi, zhanruoshui, is still there. The Academy site has become a green tea garden. Because the stone carvings of "Ganquan" still exist, it is called "Ganquan stone".

At that time, Ganquan Academy was surrounded by mountains and streams, and the mountains were high. It is said that the academy has three rooms, such as lecture hall and study. Zhan Ruoshui wrote the word "sweet spring" in his own handwriting, which was engraved with stone and hung on the forehead of the door. It is the place where Zhan Ruoshui gathered to give lectures.

The scholars of Ming Dynasty brought the atmosphere of lecturing to the top of Jiuhua Mountain. Wang Yangming advocated that Yi should give lectures in Jiuhua academy, and Zhan Ruoshui should gather people to give lectures in Jiuhua Academy. Zhan Ruoshui, a philosopher of Ming Dynasty, is a member of the Baisha School of Confucianism in Ming Dynasty. He advocates the theory of "recognizing heaven everywhere", while Wang Yangming advocates the theory of "bringing conscience". Although they had their own doors, they had close contacts and sang with each other. Wang Yangming lectured in the National History Museum. Zhan Ruoshui was associated with Wang Yangming and others. His reputation was growing day by day, and he was known as "Mr. Ganquan" (Zhanzi Ganquan). As instructed, the disciples built the Academy in Jiuhua and soon completed it. They named it "Ganquan academy" after their teacher. They are waiting for the master to come. After Zhan Ruoshui's mother died, Zhan left Beijing for three years to give lectures in Jiuhua. When Zhan Ruoshui gave lectures, there were a lot of students and they were very prosperous.
